    Yellow stuff pads

Hi, im getting new disks and pads for my astra gsi and want to know if yellow stuff pads are good. Are they too abrassive for standard disks? Would they shorten the life of the disks etc.

they are great, mine are fitted with standard discs and they are spot on for the driving i do. they wont shorten the life of the discs, and you get very little brake dust off them which is a bonus

they are the best pads ive ever used in 14 years of motoring!

They will be perfectly ok with standard discs and will not shorten the lifespan etc

I had them fitted with some grooved 308mm discs - ran them for 25k miles before uprating to VXR brakes, and the pads still had more than half the pad material left on them!

Amazing pads and Ill soon be getting them for the VXR calipers.

They are also amazing from cold unlike the Redstuff which are notoriously poor from cold - fact not opinion!

Opinion not fact, as I have them and never had a problem with them from cold.

They may well be better, never said they wasn't. A Z20LET may be better than an X20XE, but that doesn't make the X20XE 'notoriously poor'.

Have been running the pads since just after Billing 09, and never had a problem with them once.

    well again, its your opinion

Im just basing my "opinion" on a well known "fact" that Redstuff have a bad reputation if u actually do a bit of research

as for the other analagy...... i cant say if the X20XE is poor or not seeing as it didnt exist

anyway opinions/fact - who cares - you have my opinion on this
