    New brakes

Just bought my new brakes! Should be on soon

Quick question though, when changing that calliper carriers i wont have to disconnect any pipes at all will i? Surely that would only come when disconnecting the actuall calliper from the system.

    thanksoo

No need to disconnect any brake pipes, it is advisable to remove the top off the brake reservoir to prevent damage to the master cylinder. Some people also recommend opening the bleed nipple but I have never done this.

no pipes to disconnect, just a couple of very tight bolts to remove and best to locktite them when bolting back up

seeing as i know what ur doing (as u failed to mention in the thread)

    going from 5 stud 280 to 308

then no need to remove anything bud

you may be able to get away with ur existing pads but better off new pads to go with the discs etc

defo remove the cap off the res and carefully push the piston back as usual - although ideally release the nipple
