    Short Shift

Hey Guys, Sorry in advance if this is the wrong thread to post this - If so could a MOD please move it accordingly.

    -

Well I'd like to purchase a shoft shift lever for my astra, but Unsure how to tell which type of Gearbox I have . I hear talk of f23/ 32 whatever the numbers are, and have no Idea!

    I have a Astra MK4 1.6 8v, V reg (1999) (also unsure as to which engine type I have)

Not much info, but all help is welcome!

The gearbox number will be embosed on the gearbox just under the selector (I think)

    Yours wont be a F23

Sorry to bring up my old thread, but I was told by a mechanic at the vauxhall place near my scrappy that my gearbox is the "f13" type? Does that sound right? I haven't had chance to rip the car apart to look myself.
