Fitting the cc stalk - Help needed

Hi guys, ok!!!! I know this is only supposed to be a 5 minute job but I haven't got a clue. I have tried taking the rubber off the stalk and putting a cocktail stick and paper clip in it (god knows where to tho!), now I have the top bit off after undoing the 2 screws under the steering wheel. Please help me lol!!!

    Hi m8,
Yeah no worries. I presume that you have the cc stalk already?

If you get something a paperclip (and straighten it) or I used my daughters hairclip and straightened that, or maybe a small allen key.

If you pull the rubber away from the stalk on your car indicator and at the bottom there is a small gap that runs down the length of the stalk (a few cm's), if you put the paperclip etc down this gap and gently pull on the stalk it will come out.

To have some idea of the small gap that I am talking about if you have the cc stalk infront of you then put it the way it would be in the car, if you look it it directly underneath then you will see the small gap running the length of it when the paperclip goes down. I believe this dislodges a ball bearing that holds the stalk in place, this is what the paperclip dislodges to oull the stalk out.
Hope this helps, let me know.

Haven't got it yet but so want to do this for the epic MPG win! How much did the stalk cost you? And was it a simple case of popping the new stalk in and it worked?

I bought it off ebay last week for 28 quid odd. It is easy (says me!! lol) to pop in. Now I got to arrange for VX or someone to tech2 it for me.
    Here's the one I bought

No worries. Are you saying you bought the one from Vx or the one off ebay? I got to get my tech2 sorted now aswell. Wish I lived close to stampede lol.

You shouldn't need to insert anything, a good old pull straight out should suffice without actually causing any damage. Metal object and live metal contacts don't tend to mix to well so I'm not sure I'd recommend a paperclip.
