    Astra H Front Headlight Bulb

    Hi,

Just had both front headlight bulbs blow with in 24hrs of each other, have removed both and bough new bulbs, fitted them to the holders, but struggling (in the ice with frozen fingers) to re-fit the bulb holders.

    Any comments most welcome.

    Couple of pics included

no offence to this comment but cheap poundland/wilko's bulbs?

might have had water go in to the connector and short out the bulb, or if they were from the same pack you might have just been unlucky and got a dodgy batch.

Bulbs might have been in the car for 3 years
, they just failed together. Any ideas how to re-fit - is it a case of push in and twist CW or CCW ?? Is it 1/8 of a turn ?

    Just cannot work it out.

oic, might just be a power spike from one bulb to the other.

on the bulb holder you have 2 prongs. If you put the holder in so the prongs are slightly off horizontal to the car, and twist very slightly you should feel them lock into the retainer screws that are on the back of the headlamp holder. - sometimes you have to push the bulb holder against the back of the headlamp.

    hope it helps a bit
