    Question Bonnet Cut

Stumbled across this image on Pardoe16v's diary of someones 3rd MK4 bonnet cut which looks really good and something i may be intrested on working on. Although wouldn't doing this make the bonnet touch the engine cover? so does anyone know how much of a gap there is between the engine and the bonnet when the bonnet is closed?

    Any comments would be appreciated

Brets old car, loads of room if done in this way as it comes down past the enngine cover. Lumma sell a full fibreglass bonnet like this (not suure if they still make it or not though).

Travelling on a dual carriage way hit a massive patch of water, aqua planed and span out. Ended up hitting the central reservation a few times.

Bad thing is, i wasn't speeding, was doing 10mph under the limit but it all went wrong.
