Just got a Blu Ray player

after a little response from a a thread i put about DVD players a little while ago I decided to take the plunge and purchase Blu Ray player instead, and so far apart from load times being abit slow on BD's i am quite impressed, even though I am running it on component for the time being, until i get a HDMI cable. Though even with that and running Dolby Digital on my Yamaha RX V350 surround receiver I am still impressed
It was a Panasonic DMP BD35 purchased for £89.99 plus £10 postage from Ebay, admittedly it was second hand (according to the listing about 6 months old)
Probably the ONLY Astra Mk3 sitting on Corsa D SXI rims!

Got my LG blu ray dvd player(£139.99 online),for £34 as it was delivered to me by mistake lol, loads within 18seconds

Hooked that upto my phillips 1000watt,7.1surround amp,Ive had to turn the bass right down, and double bass off as the air from the sub was ripping the jeans off my legs watching transformers2!!

If it has USB+ you can hook a usb hdd to it,Ive got a 500gb usb hdd partitioned into 2x250gb,1 for wii games, and the other for movies, episodes, music, pictures etc... Its an amazing setup,I'm well chuffed with it all

    Yup

You can softmod the wii using an sd card(no need for a chip here!),theres plenty of guides on the net, took me maybe 30mns all in to mod the wii.

Got over 21games on the hdd now, loads faster than dvd, takes up less space, and keeps all the games together!!

Blu ray dvd players will play any dvds(region dep in most cases),mine also plays .avi files(bloody handy!),and upscales regular DVD's.
