It seems i've upset a few people with the HID's tonight.

I can't remember when i fitted them. 20th or 21st comes to mind (of December).

Driven about 1st thing in the morning with them on a few times.
Driven about at night with them on a few times.

Passed MANY cars, never been flashed (i've 6000k 50w H7r's in standard lights).

Went into work this morning for the first time, no problem.

Came home at 6:30pm ............ 5 people felt the need to flash. 3 were deffinate flashes, 2 were those where you wonder if they just flashed you or hit a raised bit of road or something & their light shone in your eye.

So i flashed them back obviously.

Once parked up i compared it to my main beam.

Hard to tell which is brighter as they're a different light. I know the main beam was lighting tops of trees whereas the HIDs wasn't. Strange that, as my mothers Nova main beam also seems to shine really high. I mean, i want the road lit up, not the sky!! But then hers has passed an MOT so i assume it must be aligned properly. Can't speak for mine as i've not had it in at an MOT centre yet.

I would've thought if it was a major problem, then everyone would be flashing me. As i've been fine for ages, i'm assuming i've just driven past 5 arsey people tonight.

Anyone got the same setup as me & feel like sharing your views?

Might be just like you said found 3 or 5 people that dislike (like me sometimes ) HID so feel need to flash you. I would just observe it over the next few days.
Maybe pop down garage get them aligned if you have got free time. Shouldnt cost huge amounts

There is a MOT place just 5mins walk down the road from me, but it's been shut & i've been busy.

Work is a bit mental this week as we're dealing in stupid amounts of rock salt, so my planned early day tomorrow is now out the window.

I've a docs appt though, so i guess i'll pop in on the way back home

am i just looking at 10mins & £10 worth of work, or is it a bit time consuming (getting the alignment right) as i'll be sort of pushed for time on the way back tomorrow. I can spare 10mins or so, but if it could develop into 30mins & beyond then i can't do that....but i would like it checked asap.

ten mins should be more than enough to line them up providing they aint a crap design of headlight like the FKs i had in the past

most places i go to only want a couple of quid for the tea fund so nowhere near £10!!

think along the lines of £3-4

Joys of HIDs in non projectors..
Maybe people got fed up of them? Could have also been a police van up ahead and they were all warning you?

They're the original clear ones that came with the car when it was made.

Police thing wont be the answer as i got flashed at the beginning of a 6 mile journey for the first flash & saw no cops at all.

It'll be people being irked by them i'm sure. My mother did it to a bloke on the backroads - his lights were quite bright so she started flicking her main beams on at him, so then he blinded her with his. LoL. She says .... oh i guess he didn't have his brights on after all. Great.

Will pop in if i have some spare time tomorrow then. Depends how i'm pushed.

You make a very interesting point my man which i hadn't thought of

I know the headlights were quite bad this morning before i scraped them, but i never bothered to check tonight if i'm honest. I usually do in these conditions, but i just wanted to get home. lol.

As for projectors ..... i've spent enough lately
