change the backbox aswell, everything else is relatively expensive. eg

race cams - about 800 quid

    remap - 350 quid

i would just stick to exhaust and air filter. as the saying goes get more in get more out!

yeh its cheaper that way. its only worth doing proper engine mods when youve got about 10 grand spare on a project car

I'd be more inclined (as I am at the moment) to think about gas flowed head (£450-ish from Courtenay, probably less from others) which should give 10% torque/bhp across the whole band. Possibly one of the stainless 4-2-1 exhaust manifolds via eBay for £180, then sports CAT from eBay for £110, then a bit more for a garage to fit the whole lot together.

Top off with a remap and no reason why you won't see the sunny side of 130bhp, possibly edging on 140bhp top end.
