    Mk5 Front Bumper

    Hi

Somebody reversed into me the other day, the bumper is ok but has been marked and scratched.

Can bumpers be resprayed?? being plastic or is it easier to get a new one??

Also how much are you talking for a respray?

    cheers

yes bumpers can be resprayed / repaired.

It depends on how bad the marks and scratches are, if they are light then the bodyshop can just dust over it and blend into the OE colour. Alternatively they can strip it all back and respray the whole bumper (the 1st way will be cheaper)

VX have their own bodyshop so yes they will do it aswell as an independant bodyshop but the prices will differ.

Your best bet is to take it down there and see how much they want. Think they quoted me £180 +vat to spray my front and rear XP valences (just as a comparison)
