if a police car hits your car are they covered by Insurance ?
or would they offer to pay for it Cash to cut paper work out ? as its just a mirror
I would have thought they have thier own insurance with some sort of fleet arrangement Danny, you been hit?
Observe the masses and do the opposite
As far as i'm aware Police and emergency service vehicles don't have insurance, if they hit you they claim off your insurance.
I may be wrong but I don't think I am.
It may be settled without any hassle tho if it's just a mirror Danny.
EDIT: Just looked it up, they're self insured.

Think they're self insured under the crown (much like military vehicles etc).
Police tend to use normal commercial insurance brokers to settle claims on a force by force basis.
Police cars are covered by insurance. They are not self insured and will never pay out cash for a minor incident. If they are at fault it will go through their insurance no matter how minor.
And for the record the army are not self insured either. Had an accident with them several years ago which they were at fault, their insurance company dealt with it like if I had an accident with joe bloggs
