    1.8 ecotech immobiliser starting problem??

Why does my astra fitted with 1.8 ecotech, fly by wire egr less system struggle to start once it has been started during the day.

starter speed ok, new plugs, coolant switch, crank sensor, cleaned out throttle body, new airflow meter.

when cold from standing overnight it starts immediately, but after that it takes alot of winding before it fires up.. Someone suggested immobiliser, CAN ANYONE SHED ANY LIGHT???

my mate had a similar issue with their and i replaced pretty much everything going

amongst those were a brand new 70amp battery, immob chip in key and replaced both fuel pump relays

doubt the immob is the cause

the ECU itself is also a possibility due to its location it can suffer internal damage due to heatsoak

Are you getting any fault codes ?
