Hi, I'm new to this so any help appreciated!
I own a 2002 Astra SRI Turbo (petrol) and when coming home from work this morning after doing a night shift, weather being about -1.5 two lights came on my dash one being the car with a spanner - engine electronics/transmission electronics and the other being a square with a star in - electronically controlled engine cooling. I did as others have posted to get the fault codes and these came up as P1490 and P0530??? I have googled these but dont know what they actually mean!
I have never had these come up before and have owned the car since brand new, it doesnt feel any different to drive ie no lagging etc.
Does any one know why these would have come on, would it have anything to do with the weather being absolutly freezing and this affecting anything?
Is it wise to drive the car while these lights are on ?
Any answers would be great! Thanks
