    painting of top hat, help me!!!

    right i wanna paint my courtney sport top hat, do i need primmer?? any special paint that is needed?? i also wanna paint my rocker cover, wot paints do i need to do this??? thanks for any help

    definitely use a primer, self etching or metal primer would be better but not essential, normal rattle can paint from halfords will suffice and a coat or two of lacquer will help make the finish last and give you something to polish up for a decent shine, you could do the same for the rocker cover if you wanted, I did and haven't had a problem yet.

    ok thanks for your help. i have some halfords primer that i was going to use but i was unsure wether it needed to be heat resistant.
