    help - seatbelt problem

Hello, I'm trying to remove my B-Pillar on my 3dr MK4 ASTRA
I have removed the rear door card and I have removed the t50 bolt holding the front passenger side seatbelt.

In my hand I am holding the actual seatbelt mechanism and it keeps getting shorter and shorter. I cannot work out how to stretch it out so I can fit it back in?

    I hope this makes sense...

Need help URGENT... as its getting dark and I need to drive later

    Thankyou!

you only take out the bolt at the bottom when removing the B pillar,

i took out the bolt and let the belt go to the top, then when i needed to put it back in i jus pulled it down to the bottom and screwed it in.
