    Sports tube and Backbox

Well got new sportstube and backbox for my Astra MK4

Just drilled bolts out of sportstube as they was stuck in, so just wondering

How many clamps and bolts will I need to fit the tube and backbox to my car?

if the back box is flange fit then you will need two flange bolts and one 54mm clamp for racetube to cat pipe joint

You will also need a gasket to go between the centre section and the backbox.

Not really sure, I think thats all you need, one clamp for the cat to centre join and 2 spring bolts and nuts for the backbox to centre join, you can reuse your exisiting rubber hangers but some may be missing.

Just so you know, i paid a local exhaust fitter £40 and they fitted my backbox and centre section, they also supplied new bolts clamps etc.

go to a local motor factors

    theyll grab their exhaust catalogue

just find any mk4 astra - may as well go for the same engine just to be on the safe side

locate the one with flange connection on centre to rear section

then order the relevant bolts and guaze o-ring gasket

may as well get the new rubber hangers whilst ur there as theyll be on the same page

** u say u drilled "bolts" out of the cente section? surely they should only have nuts welded on the flange??? another way would be just to get some bolts and nuts from B&Q and some washers too and fit the flange together in the conventional sense

Does that help or are u still lost???
