How to fit mudflaps? - mk4

    hi,

was gonna buy some of these just wondering how they fit?

is there any drilling required or are there specific holes already in place on the arch that they just clip into?

    cheers

depends what flaps u buy as to how they fit, iv got moulded ones on my hatch and theres clips for them, but the liner had to be trimmed ever so slightly, some flaps will go on with self tappers. just depends what ones you buy chap. not a hard mod though!

nails??? on a car????? its not a shed ffs!

self tapping screws maybe therefore drive them in with a screwdriver

nails on a car sounds a bit bodgetastic....maybe something a top drawer bodger like myself would resort to!

I hear duck tape is a good choice?

I think they are self tappers (screws) to fit, if mine are anything to go by.

They self tap into the plastic.

There are 2 indents on the front plastic arch to show you roughly where they go.

Front ones screw into the splash guard, rear ones have little clips that tighten onto the rear bumper, very easy to attach and I think they even come with instructions.
