    Starting problems

Hi, just bought as mk3 astra van, with a c25xe engine in.
Problem is, occasionally when starting, it seems to idle very rough, then it will bog down and cut out. I try to start it again and it does the same thing but cuts out sooner.
If i touch the throttle at any point during this it also bogs down and cuts out straight away.

Seems to me like some sort of fueling problem. But i cant work out what, seeing as sometimes its fine, and once its running there is no problem at all.

Oh, and also, if i leave it for about half an hour after its bogged down it will start up fine must of the time, making me think it flooded before, and had chance to dry up.

    Any ideas? Thanks

found out its related to the inlet manifold getting too hot. so has anyone got any ideas why it would be getting too hot? or how it could be solved?

First thing I would be checking is the throttle body mate, to see how caked up in carbon and and stuff

Nah, sorry, it gets too hot during running, making it do this on hot starts. It starts fine cold..
Just need to find the reason behind the manifold overheating while running
