    cam belt mileage

    At what mileage should the cambelt be changed at on the 1.7cdti 100hp engine.

    Also if it the case on these as the 1.9cdti to do the water pump and fullys at the same time??

    mine was done at about 45k as the water pump was going mate.

    ah!! well i do get a slight rattle sometimes when pulling from low revs in a high gear when i cant be arsed to change gear but thats all.

    Mines just shy of 54k now and was thinking it must be coming up soonish but just wanted to make sure. But i thought i seen somewhere it ws 80k but i thought that was a bit high i was thinking more of 60k???

    I heard 40k & 60k, mine started going at about 45k, so took it to cartec and the noise stopped

    i was always under the impression that with cambelts it was every 40 - 50K or three years which ever came sooner?

    different cars and engines all very,

    my girlfiends focus was 100k or 10 years which ever cam first! so just had it first change at 9 years old!

    Once xmas is out of the way i think cam belt kit and water pump will be getting done as well as aux belt and tensioner
