    oil/fuel smell inside car

    ive noticed this smell appear inside my car, ive checked under the bonnet and it appears to be coming from my pipercross breather filter.... does anyone else who has one of these fitted get this smell?
    do you think it will make any differance if i move it nearer to the front of the bay?

    any help much appreciated!!

    Had the same problem as you mate, then i bought a 90degree elbow breather pipe and now no smell, only £20 of ebay.

    i bought a 19mm 1 metre rubber hose off ebay and re-located it next to the other breather pipe, sorted the problem :-D

    Why don't you plumb it in to the bottom of the airbox? Just need to drill a small hole, that's what I did with mine.

    yeah i thought that, also wouldnt you be putting extra heat into the air intake? i know its plumbed into the intake as standard but still........

    you can buy the polished 90 elbow that goes from afm to turbo inet off ebay with a little port coming out of it for the breather pipe, if u want to plumb it back in then thats the best way.

    Unlikely, it's plumbed in as standard. Any you are putting it into the airbox with a breather filter, under the air filter itself. So it's being filtered a good few times! I know of others who have done this and no problems to date!

    As standard its plumbed in after the afm, i wouldnt plumb it in before
