    Reserve tank question

Can anyone tell me how much fuel in litres does the reserve tank hold in an astra h 1.7 cdti?

    Thanks

If by reserve tank you mean when the needle goes into the red, then it should be around 3.25 litres.
Without going to look at my gauge, I think it goes into the red at about half way between empty and the first mark. Gauge is marked in eight divisions, 52 litre tank = 6.5 litres per section.

Yea I don't think the Astra has a "reserve" tank, not in the way you get on a motorbike. When you hit the red its just low in the tank, I think you will have just under a gallon in the tank and fuel lines.

It doesnt have a reserve tank.

When the needle hits red and the light comes on youll have approx 50miles left, when the light starts flashing around 5 miles left. When the lights still flashing and the engine cuts out, your shit out of luck.

Ok, shows how much attention I pay to the fuel gauge (only had the car a couple of months).
My gauge doesn't have a red section. The last eighth is where the marks get closer on the gauge. I'm sure all the CDTi's have the same size tank at 52 litres, so that would give you 6.5 litres at that point, about 1.45 gallons or 80 miles, which ever comes soonest.

i have an astra estate sxi 1.7, it has a 52 litre tank. This morning i had the light flashing for about 16 miles before i pulled in. Not by choise, i was bricking it the last 5 miles, especially in the croydon underpass where i didnt want to run out!
