    how long

    i now have a pile of new parts sitting at home waiting to go on to the car, how long shall i expect my car to be away to have them fitted.

    i have front and rear springs and shocks, front discs and pads and rear pads all to be fittted. is this a days work for a competent mecanic

    if you pay a fixed price i bet its done in a day,but if you pay by the hour i think they will stetch it to 2 days.

    Or you could do it in about a day, have ago your self its easy.

    if its cheap then you cant really worry if he takes a little while(within reason) are you going lower?

    Days work easily, hour or two for springs and shocks, same for the brakes. Rear springs/shocks are easy though, not worth paying for those. Even front ones aren't too bad with a spring compressor. Says me who watched a friendly neighbourhood Ffoeg fit mine

    no im raising it up. lol. i have raceland coilovers that are nackered. i dont like the harsh ride either. so i bought the jamex -40mm kit, so should lower a gsi about 20mm. that is a perfect ride height for the driving i do.

    id have the lot done in just over 2hours max so any mechanic should be well within a day

    im guessing u still aint sorted this yet then?

    yea, got all the bits sitting at home, just need to find the time to have it fitted as i need the car most of the time. will proberly wait untill after xmas

    i changed my front discs and pads in my dinner hour mate, and still had plenty of time to eat my dinner, breaks arent a big job, and suspensions isnt either, like geordiebandit said, a few hours
