Ebay Scammers, Such a wind up!!

Just listed some speakers im trying to sell on there.

Some 0 Feedback scammer bought it pretty much straight away, then messages saying can you tell me the condition as its for my brother in law etc.. You can tell straight away! Winds me up so much, so now its relisted without the buy it now.

Is there an easy way to get your final value fee back? Ive sent of a email to ebay because they are trying to charge me £8 for selling it, even though its clearly a scammer. So peeved!

Im not paying that fee for nothing.

    Cheers.

i think if you pulled out of the sale rather than the buyer(even if the buyer was a scammer)e-bay will still want paying, should have let the "buyer"do his thing then claim a no sale to e-bay.

i thiought if it was a no show by the buyer e-bay would persue them for the payment and not charge you other wise people could "buy" high value items with big listing costs and just not pay, leaving the seller out of pocket, good luck.

You can also fiddle with your settings so that people who don't have paypal, or aren't registered in the uk, or have below a certain number of feedback aren't allowed to bid on or buy your items. It got on my nerves as well. Regarding final value fee, if you open a dispute after 7days (or however long you have to wait), and the buyer either doesn't respond or is no longer registered, you will automatically receive a refund on any fees paid.

Thats good to hear. Tried blocking people with no feedback, but you can only block those with less than -1. Its a right pain.. Nevermind ill see how the auction goes now without Buy It Now. And just cancel bids from scammers i guess. They think people are stupid, but some people do fall into there traps.

Ive opened a dispute so hopefully get the fees refunded soon. All a lot of hassle to sell an ipod dock!
