Conversion project begining need a bit of advice

I have an astra g 1.8 (cable x18 engine) and plan to either turbo or swap a new lump in there. i would really like to get a new lump in there but unsure of which is the best and what car they come out of. i have all the facilitys to do this but dont know much about vx engines.

    thanks for any help .

i curently jus have a dcat and rearbox. cold air induction on the front. thats all. i will have about 1500£ to start and be able to top this up a small amount each month for more parts etc. but dont want to go mad with it just something that performs well for a daily driver. 200 plus horses would be nice though.

Yup Zlet is the Turbo engine mate.... GSI/Coupe turbo/SRI-t engine's..

    Zleh from vxr

putting a zlet in is how i will go, but of course is your own choice could be something different to turbo the 1.8 of course but thats double the budget :S

yeah ive seen the regal prices and thats what lead me to think about a swap rather than convertion, which probly wouldnt be much cheaper if i did it myself. since the zlet is from astra does is mount up roughly the same can anyone point me to a rough guide i will also look myself and not be a lazy buger lol. i have seen many corsa c guides are these of any use?
