    tech 2

    alright guys

    does anyone in north herts have tech 2, i need to clear a fault code on my car and vauxhall in hitchin (my nearest dealers) want £50+. i'm happy to pay fuel and labour, just want this sodding light gone from my dashboard.

    Hi, sorry I'm a bit too far from you to help but have you thought about investing in a reader?

    A basic handheld one that will give you a code and reset for you will knock you back £20 on ebay, a usb op-com if you have a laptop will cost about £25...

    Both better than shelling out £50!

    I assume you've tried battery disconnecting and paperclip / pedal tests?

    Naturally if you 'changed your mind' you could take it back within the 16 days money back period... )

    cheers for the quick replies. yeh pedal test, was a the lambda in the manifold that had packed up. just now disconnected the battery will give it an hour or so, then see what happens.
