Clicking Noise From Steering Wheen When Turning?

When I turn my steering wheel either way, it clicks as it goes round. Any idea what this could be? Gets really annoying! Might take it off and get some lube on it if theres no other ideas?

    Cheers

No its actually a clicking sound in the steering wheel. Not external noise.
