If I may be so bold as suggest that f you have had any plates or other metal work fitted you get hold of a copy of the xrays, your dentest will love you forever!

What do you mean?
My sister didn't have much of a chin. She had an op to bring her lower jaw forward IIRC. Plate/s fitted in the mouth & such. She had this at the beginning of 2008.
My jaw clicks on request. Whats corrective jaw surgery??
Mine seemed to start about 8-9 years ago when I was a laborer....I swung a concrete block up onto my shoulder (the hollow heavy type) and smacked the side of my jaw by mistake. Feels like it needs to pop back in or something??
I think theres different types, people who have an over bite, or an under bite, basically if the teeth dont meet as they should due to the jaw
I had it done because i had an over bite, my lower jaw stuck out too much than my top jaw, and I had both top and bottom re-aligned, push back and slightly rotated by about 2 degrees lol
Yer I've seen the xrays 4 metal plates around my nose area, and 2 big ones in my chin
im all wired up and cant eat or speak for 6 weeks
My jaw is to the left. And every time I think about I try and keep it straight and it just aches. But I don't like the sound of surgery but it does annoy me.
The early bird might get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
I would highly reccomend getting it done... once the swelling has gone down, I will put some before and after pics up to show how amazing the diffeence is!
I'm sure anyone who has had it done, or knows anyone whos had it done will agree with me
It's quite a nasty painful process but once the first 2 weeks are over its a breeze
