    Exclamation Dials LED conversion

I want to change my regular 519 bulbs for LEDs behind my black dials. I read that I can use the 519 bulb fittings on the PCB to hook the leds up to. However, me being a hero when it comes to electrical things , would need some help in hooking up leds.
What resistors do I need to use when hooking up LEDs (connected to eachothers), let's say 6 or 7 regular 3mm LEDs or 5mm LEDs??
    How about more/less LEDs??

Did anyone write a manual on how to change the 519 bulbs for LEDs behind the dials, for this might help alot!

I'm planning on using ice white LEDs behind the dials, red LEDs under the needle binnacles. Any idea's on how to fit these red LEDs best?

Feel free to post images of your conversions here! Happy to check them out for idea's!

Thanks m8, butI already have blue ones fitted to my dials. But since these are indeed very dim, i'd like to replace them by LEDs behind each number on the dials, as well as a different needle colour. And since I am rather bored of the blue, I'm gonna change em to ice white with red needles

Check out some of OddJob's threads, let's just say he's the LED guru You can do what you say to my knowledge, though few have done it to that level.

I have done this and if you look on my bio it showsyou what I did but I also bought a 4 pack of LEDs from halfords. They all ready had resistors in the so just plugged them into a power a sorce. I have since made my needles light up red. I'll get a pic later tonight.

Cheers guys! I'll have to read many posts and figure something out then.
I am mostly interested on how to install the leds for the needles.
Would be great to see your mods, too!

btw, how many LED's (http://www.led1.de/shop/product_info...0000mcd-c-4_12) I can hook up in serial without loosing any brightness, when using a single 560 ohm resistor on 14V?

    Led dial lights

I have just fitted red leds to black dials and they were dim so got some
    (ULTRA QUAD PLCC-2 509T LEDS) from crazyleds.co.uk.
Click car/bike 12v on left of screen then go to509t twistlock then you will find them on page 2 various colours these are bright and look great.

P.S. When I changed mine there was no seperate bulbs for the needles.
