    MK4 on 18" Wheels

Is anyone running a MK4 Astra on 18" wheels? My car is and keeps grounding out on the back and is shredding the tyres. I have adjustable KW suspension, but am on the upper adjustment limit.

Has anyone resolved this problem? If so, what suspension set-up are you running?

    Thanks

Mines on 215/35r18 as wel and having no problems and im lowered about 40mm maybe 50mm rear. Only get the odd rub if the car is packed out with a full boot going camping or something.

225/40/18 would probably not rub if you were running standard suspension, but the profile would be too high due to the width and would give the car a real 4x4 appearance imo.

I was hoping for a simple reply, but as ever with cars nothing is easy, lol.
I am away on business till the weekend, so I will post the tyre details on this thread when I have looked at them.

I do know that the wheels are the standard Astra VXR 6 spoke 18" alloys. I have had to go to 18" to go over the AP 4 pot brakes I have on the front.

Thanks for the responses so far, will be in touch soon,

Hi all. The tyres on my car are 225/40 ZR18.
I am not sure what the offset is on the wheels, if no one can comment, I can measure it at the weekend if that helps.
I will stick some pictures of the setup on my garage page.

    Thanks,

    Keith
