    Car back from body shop

Got my car back from the bodyshop ,ive just gave it a jet wash but it wont stop raining for me to polish the new paint.any suggestions on what i should use first would be apreciated .Im thinking of something to protect the paint from the weather till i can give her a good buff up,cheers guys. I did wait 5 days before giving her a jetwash or brushwash . So the first couple of hours without rain im going to have to polish her with something,i usualy use black colour magic GREAT STUFF for the minor scratches.

becareful what waxes you use, coz when used on fresh paint it can tend to leave a milky/cloudy finish which is not wot you want

Yes you should leave the paint as it is, as new paint jobs need a certain amount of time to cure properly.

If your car was painted 5 days ago then it should be fine to polish by now. In bodyshops they polish them a few hours after they have been painted. Don't panic, just don't be too heavy handed if you are machine polishing it.

Disclaimer : If you do manage to burn through because its not a very good job then its not my fault.

the manual on new cars says dont wax for 6 months, the paints are all water based now and not as hard. They need to fully cure before any kind of waxing or polishing that is abrasive. Try a polish & seal after about 3 months.

well after using a brushwash then you will defiantly need to machine polish it now. as minxy said you should be ok but be careful. if your unsure then there is no prob with leaving it longer.
