    Smile Astra Mk4 Dump Valve

    Hi guys

I was wondering if anyone could help me, ive got an 52 reg 2.0 Turbo GSI and i want to fit a dump valve to it, ive looked on various sites and ebay but im a bit confused as to which one would suit my car (ive heard some people have problems with certain cars with certain dump valves).

Ive found the following which say that they are suitable for the Z20LET engine (which i presume mine is???), the link is:

    http://www.lmfvauxhall.co.uk/store/home.php?cat=1566

Could someone please tell me what the differences are between the twin piston and the trumpet dump valves are (im presuming there's more to it then just the sound?)

    Cheers

Both are twin pistion for the Z20LET difference is the trumpet ones are suppost to be louder. Many people have used Bailey dump valves and found they leaked boost and changed to a Collins one which is much louder and doesn't leak boost

If its got the standard rubber hose from intercooler to throttle body then just a fitting kit will be needed if its got a solid boost pipe then you might have to but a new one with a DV spout. Also everyone has varied results with dump valves some work fine, other cars throw a wobbler as lack of boost or the turbo becomes laggy

Collins can be brought from http://www.nitroperformance.co.uk/sh...mospheric.html

or ebay, if you do go collins then you want a 25mm one
