    help screeching noise coming from engine.

    as above on my astra coupe 888 i just had a vxr engine fitted new turbo everything. but the existing altantor. there no noise when on throttle, no smoke nothing just when ur on idle it make the screeching sound. any ideas cheers tom

    Vxr turbo with 360 bearing and twin oils seals & Evoms dv. Cdti airbox 63mm tophat.Milltex cat back and pre cat.. Regal 245 leh phase 1 ipf remap.Whiteline rarb.

    i know everything things new bar

    alternator
    few senors
    gear box
    water pump

    also to had the noise sound like it coming from the alternator area any help be very great full and just so u know i have done the 908mm belt mod to get rid of the ac pump cheers tom

    wat alternator belt? ?

    it might be as when u do the mod to get rid of the ac pump u dont have any tensioner to tighten it up

    could be that as it dose do it all the time to

    cant think what else it could be, do you not need to make some sort of adjusting alternator mount?

    no m8 when people have done its just a from the bottom pully to the alt and u get it tight u have to pull the alt back then re-bolt it tom
