Right, so I had an accident on the 30th Nov whilst driving towards the M1.
Was on the A43 and just turned left off of a roundabout to meet a Fiat Bravo almost head on. They were on the wrong side of the road completely and were 'following their sat nav'.
Car (Ford Focus) was stuffed in as I tried to avoid them and ended up having the front passenger side wheel and front crashed into resulting in a total loss claim.
Got my cheque fine, though it was financed so most of the cash paid off that first, got an Astra on standby with the bit I had left.
Problem is, I'm now being told the other driver may not of had the appropriate insurance cover to drive the car (was a friends) and this has made things complicated as her insurance company won't agree to liability as the details of the cover are in dispute. All I want is a bloody car.
Now, I didn't have a courtesy car so had a Drive Assist motor for about 2 days, then was told I shouldn't have it as I had gotten my cheque. Thing is I can't afford to hire a car for a week or so if I'm not getting 100% of the money back pretty quick.
Any ideas on what I can do to move things along? I can't see how liability is even remotely in doubt. Another pain is the driver is a soldier and will be in the middle east by March so I want this sorted ASAP really.
(apologies for wall of text)
