    Insuring a CAT D?

Whats involved in insuring a CAT D car?

    Does it cost more/less?

If you need to claim how do they decide what its worth etc?
The truth is always the truth even if you haven't realised it yet...

Should cost the same as cat D is bugger all really, a claim would pay out less as resale value is less on a cat D car.

Dont know how legal/lucky i was to do this but I bought my first corsa (not knowing it was a cat D) crashed it, and insurance said why didnt you tell us it was a cat D, i dont even know what a cat D is...? And they paid out in full.

Cat D just means cosmetic anyway so shouldnt make much difference to price.

Doesnt cost anymore, some insurance companies may offer less but it can vary.
One of our panel beaters was paid out over book value on his Cat D Astra when it was hit again.
