    Question help identifying a part

I dont have any pictures but hopefully the following description will help you help me...........

coming from a Z20LEx rocker cover on the top left there is a breather hose which goes to the crossover and a thinner hose which goes to the throttle body

this thinner hose has some sort of a valve in it, round in shape and is 2 colours.

    a) can I buy this part on its own or does a new one come complete with new hose

    b) what is it called

    c) what is the part number

    d) what does it actually do

    any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Dave

This part is £22 from vauxhall,

When you come to fit it the black side of the halfords one way valve faces towards the rocker cover,

Found the same thing when installing my new tophat!

the current stock in halfords is the black/white type

i have one in my posession but still cant work out which way is which - they dont even appear to respond to blowing through them

defo halfords tho - 20 odd quid is daft for OE one and this one fits just as well

Know what you mean mate lol, sat tryin blow thru mine for ages, when i connected it up there was a definite vacuum when i connected the black part towards the breather.

In that entry on the right hand side goes towards breather but like he says they are white/black the ones ive seen in store.

You obviously don't have enough puff in you.

On the black one it flows from right to left in the piccy. From the fatter end to the thinner end.

I have also got one of the newer "black & white army... toon toon... black & white army" ones. I have not tried it, but I assume that it will also flow from the fatter part of the body to the thinner bit.
