    Before removing the front bumper

    http://www.astraownersclub.com/docum...rontbumper.pdf

Looking at getting some smoked/dark headlights as i've the clear ones. Not only that, but one if mine is misted badly.

Before removing the bumper though & charging into it, would you recommend buying in the clips just in case, or are they not as flimsy as i'm expecting them to be?

Don't want them to be brittle things & me not be able to get the thing back on, that's all. So if they break easy enough i'll look at buying some in just in case.

I'll probably have a better idea of how flimsy/strong they are when i have the car over the pit at work at the weekend for an oil change, but thought it'd be handy to ask here 1st

I don't use the bottom ones, but the top ones on mine have been removed and refitted loads of times now, and still in perfect condition.

I changed the lights in mine and managed to remove the bumper without breaking the clips, i was wary as had heard they were brittle but was very gentle and they were fine!

    That's handy to know. Cheers.

I know folk seem to break clips on bump strips/side skirts quite easily, so wondered if these were very flimsy things, but i guess they're not as bad as i though then.

Just need to go bargain headlight hunting, buy in a HID kit & jobs-a-gudgeon
