Ok so I think I may have jinxed myself with my earlier 'electrical' related post So I get out from work this evening and drive off and realise my steering wheel controls are not switching the stereo on as usual
Now they were definitely working this morning, I am 100% sure of that but anyway, the left scroll wheel still controls the trip computer fine, but the bottom left button doesn't turn on the stereo (normally used to power on and change source). The top button also does nothing (normally change radio station or mp3 folder) and the buttons on the right that are normally used to change tracks or seek are also controlling the trip computer! The right scroll wheel is doing nothing also.
I'm seriously confused as to what the problem could be. I've had a recent change of CIM and wiring harness, however the problem was still present with the headlights switched off (also tried restarting the engine) so I'm thinking it can't be that. The steering controls are connected to the stereo with a Connects2 adapter but I've had no problems with that since I bought it. If anyone has a clue what's going on, I'd appreciate your help. I'm hoping it's just one of those gremlins that'll go away by morning but I doubt it..
