    best way of fitting pre-cat to turbo!

    Whats peoples easiest scenario of removing and refitting a pre-cat bare in mind easy access to the pre-cat clamp?

    edited: I would not remove the lamda sensor before removing the pre-cat, thats how I did mine anyway.

    defo remove the lambda first

    did mine yesterday - will be refitting it tomorrow - should be fun if i cant get help lol

    hopefully the v-band clamp will be in a suitable location for removal - unlike the muppet that fitted mine (no not me this time!!) the bolt head was in such a stupid position i couldnt get a socket on it

    Well I replaced my standard Precat today & done it from underneath the car on a proper set of electric ramps and what a pain in the arse (excuse my French) it was to get the clamp on!!! I thought I'd get peoples opinions on their way of doing.

    i did it by first unplugging the lambda sensors, then removing the old part, swap over teh lambdas, loosely fit it to the centre section, then fit it to the turbo, finally line up the centre section and fully tighten. then re connect the lambdas.

    i had to refit a standard precat 2 mine as someone had my modded one, menion no names ben
    its a sod, but in end found best way 2 to put clamp on turbo 1st then offer up the zorst, i would hold it in place while used a jack to hold zorst while tightened.lol aint fitted props, but just need it to get 2 zorst place 2 get 3" fitted

    i left the gasket out at turbo end, seems to go on sooo much easier. doesnt blow at all either.

    yea i find no gasket makes it easier to get a seal, same with my 3" 2day we didnt use a gasket and seal 1st time
