Ok so i have been in for a service today at Thorney, who had a look at my boosting problem. The bloke said one of the boost pipes had come off which he re connected. This helped slightly howver its still not properly boosting until just after 3 thousand RPM, plus ive still not got my popping exhaust back and the turbo is still fluttering like mad every time i come of the throttle.
The bloke recommended changing the diaphram and the boost sensors however couldnt guarentee it would solve the problem and may still end up with a new turbo.
What would be the next best step? The turbo isnt completly shagged so should i just wait unitll it is and then change it?
I managed to hagel them down to a price of £700 fitted for a VXR with 12 months parts and labour warrenty.
Should i just bite the bullet and go for the VXR Turbo, the added bonus being i can go straight to stage 3.
