    Unhappy Stereo trouble

    i have a 2004 mk5, astra sxi, im having trouble with my stereo. the previous owner had a dvd stereo unit and on sale replaced the stereo with the standard stereo.

    The problem is i cant get radio anymore. cd works fine. But it doesnt seem to pick up radio stations just static. is there a wire that has got loose. ive removed the stereo to have a look and there is a AUX cable and another wire, but im unsure of wot i need to doo.

    can sum1 help please! im a novice!

    sounds like the aerial is unplugged

    The aerial leads going to be unplugged or faulty/broken. The MK5's have a aerial lead that locks in place on the back of the headunit

    there are loads of wires that are connected to one side of the unit. wot does the radio wire look like.. sorry for being clueless
