Try upgrading to the latest version off Firefox.

    http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/upgrade.html

3.5 is the latest. It may fix your issue.

I'm assuming you have ticked the remember me box?

    Just asking to double check.

You could try downloading Ccleaner - http://www.ccleaner.com/download/downloading

That will wipe all you firefox history , and temp files. Will remove all your passwords(so you will need to re enter them.)

Might solve your issue, as it will wipe the history of everything you have been to visit.

Only thing I can think of.

Do you have an auto complete option in Firefox? If so is it turned on? I don't use Firefox but there is something like this on IE that if not on might cause your sort of issues?

    Also check:

    Tools > Options > Privacy.

Make sure the first drop down is set to remember history.
