Astra Estrate - number plate lights not working.

Hi guys, hoping someone can assist. My Astra has just failed its mot on a couple of items - number plate bulbs and rear wheel bearing. So, have had the bearing replaced and assumed the bulbs would be a simple fix...but no! Changed the two bulbs which did appear defective but unfortunately still no light. Is there a fuse which covers the number plate bulbs? Unfortunately it isn't identified specifically in the handbook. All other lights appear to be working.

If it's not the fuse. Can anyone help with a wiring diagram for the number plate lights?

    Cheers.

    Welcome mate

The most common problem on vauxhalls in general with this problem would be broken wires where they pass through from the body to the boot so check the grey/green wire that is the live for them isn;t broken

    Thanks for the reply.

After several hours of frustration today I eventually found the problem and ran a second cable in tandem with the first to bypass the fault. It was the grey/green as you suggested.

    Cheers.
