    Dash Not Working Properly

First of all Hello all, just bought myself a 97 2.0 Sport estate to ferry round my drums!
When I bought it the battery seemed to need a bit of a charge so sorted that out.
However, The car starts but the battery light is on whilst driving. I then noticed that the fuel gauge isn't working, neither is the temp gauge. The rev counter was registering really slowly and now has also given up!
Could all of this because of a faulty battery/alternator ?
I must point out that all of the gauges had been working.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Welcome mate

The first thing to do is get the alternator checked out. With the battery light being on all the time it suggests it could be faulty

You may find this fixes the other problems

Brilliant, that is what I'm hoping! I've searched through other posts, and come to the conclusion that it may be the reg/rec on it. The MFD doesn't work until the engine is revved!
The EML is on as well though
    Many thanks for the reply
