    Vxr Turbo is giving me a headache HELP PLEASE!!

    i fitted my vxr turbo about 2months ago now havnt had any problems with it apart from now the reason i changed it was due to the old one smoking and whistleing. Now the new turbo has started whistleing today same as the old one was no smoke tho whats the best thing to check for 1st it only whistles under load in boost ill check for boost leaks 2mz if its not that then whats next?

    Whistling probably boost leak - check all boost hoses
    Whining - shagged bearing in turbo

    Does it pull ok? boost gauge (hit boost levels ok?)
    You prime it before fitting?

    yup primed properly before running no boost guage but seems to hold boost as well as it always has doesnt seem slower i did fit a 1 way valve ran it for about a week and took it off bcz it was causzing turbo chatter but this noise has only just started tonyt

    Does it still chatter?

    So its defo a whistle and not a whine like a supercharger?

    Disconnect coilpack plug on the right side of engine, disconnect oil return on turbo, then turn the car over (best with 2 people) so one can turn it over while one is underneath near turbo, once the oil starts running out the oil return line your priming the turbo (lubricating it) so you dont start it dry, which is defo a NO NO !
    Turn it over a couple times so you can see it flowing out smoothly then it should be primed.
    Reconnect everything.

    Search the internet, all the info is out there.
    This is how i done it, but many people have different ways.

    Doesnt chatter no more now ive taken the one way valve off just taken the precat off to see if theres any play and theres about 2mm up and down and in and out! Y would a brand new turbo brake so quik??

    My seals went after a week on my vxr turbo mate.
    Vxr turbo with 360 bearing and twin oils seals & Evoms dv. Cdti airbox 63mm tophat.Milltex cat back and pre cat.. Regal 245 leh phase 1 ipf remap.Whiteline rarb.

    Wats the best option for me send turbo off to turbo technics or buy a new one?? How would TT repair it and what should i get done n how much??
