Indain Summer has arrived as per Astra read out

    2005 1.7 CDTI VX Astra 86k miles.

Temperature read out for exterior temp is reading high teens.

Its very cold outside and the reading is say 18 degrees.

Does this mean the temperature guage is broke.

Would anyone know where I could find it in order to replace it.

    Many thanks

IT'll have come out of its socket - check behind the lower front grille. It's probably hanging somewhere that it shouldn't be. It fits into the sockety bit in the lower grille. If it's knackered, just replace

its more than likely died a premature death

if its become unplugged then usually the display would read --.- or similar

wildy inaccurate readouts usually signify a faulty sensor

not to worry though - brand new ones can be had for less than a fiver delivered

they are all the same across the board (most models) so even though this one doesnt mention the Astra H it is the correct one - PN 9152245

I'd be looking for a sensor attached to the front bumper grille in the centre assuming this will be the same for the new shape astra as the Zafira A, might also be worth seeing if the sensor on your astra G fits to test.
