    Question newbie hids

    ite,
    cud i fit h7 hids into standard astra h lights???

    is there any cutting needed to fit because i had a corsa n had to file down the bulb holder to a kit

    You need a CANBUS compatible kit, otherwise you'll get error codes, etc.
    As for bulbs, you need H7R, as these are suitable for reflector headlights.
    I know with the mk4 the original housing needs cutting, so I presume the same applies to the mk5.


    Lastly, colour temp of ur bulb shouldn't be tooooooo high (ie. 10000K, 12000K as these will get tons of attention from the boys in blue) and other factors such as auto levelers and washer jets need to be fitted to make them more legal (although most people don't bother with these, but thats their choice).
