    My latest powdercoating frenzy

So as some as you may now, i have a small fetish for powder caoting

Well over the last couple of weeks i've been doind a few low cost jobs to tidy thing up a bit. I wanted to go with a full black look under the bonnet to keeps things sharp and clean until i EVENTUALLY get this bloody redtop engine built.

So i whipped off my Whiteline strut brace, fuses and relay covers, and a new manifold cover from glenn_yale. The powdercoater also blasted and painted my bonnet struts but i forget to take pictures of these.

The finish on the strut brace and ends is unreal, and the manifold cover is awesome too. The manifold cover is actually polished stainless on the other side to try and reflect some of the heat. The finish on the fuse and relay covers isn't so hot, but i knew this before as he told me he couldn't powdercoat them so he's blown over them with wetpaint. I'll sort this out when i paint my airbox lid and engine cover.

So here's the 'just removed from wrapper' pics, i'll get some fitted pics at some point this week.

    It's an idea paul

The only reason i do it really is that i can get it done cheap, the bloke usually does an A1 job, and by the time you've bought paint etc and spent time rubbing stuff down it's easier to have it done like this.

As for the redtop - block has been rebored, head has been skimed, crank polished. Now i need £110 for bronze valve guides, and the block needs taking to the acid dippers. It's on hold for the time being until i get theis battery/install/aircon situation sorted out.

Got the bits fitted today, all apart from the bonnet lifters that is.

I'm really ****ed off as i've got a tiny scratch on the bar of the brace. The whiteline brace is such a tw@ to fit.

I'm not keeping the fuse/relay covers on long as the finish is pretty dire but at least i won't lose them if they're on the car
