    Help Removing The Rear Bumper From MK5 Sport-Hatch

    Does anyone know how to remove the rear bumper from a mk5 sports-hatch?

    Any help appreciated

    Hey mate, not removed the bumper from a 3dr, but did on my 5dr, hopefully shouldn't be much different. Firstly, remove both rear lights and there'll be two clips that you need to take out. Then remove the number plate and there are two torque screws that need to be taken out. Then within the wheel arch, there are two torque screw on both sides that need to be taken out, you might have to remove the wheels to open these up!

    Once all the screws have been taken out, you pull the bumper outwards from both wheel arches and it will clip out, then you need to pull the bumper back slightly untill you can put your hand in between the car and the bumper and twist open both lights (just above the number plate) from the inside, you should now be able to pull the bumper off completely.     Yep! thats the same for the 3 door too!
