    Can i run a sub and front componants off 1 2ch amp?

    I have 350w front componants and a 400w 4ohm sub which runs off my 400w 4ohm 2 ch amp......can i wire in my front componants to the amp as well as it running the sub?

    No. You need a channel per speaker or, if the amp supports it, 2 bridged channels to power a sub.

    You CAN run a subwoofer and 2 components, However lots of Wire would be needed and a capacitor to act as a High pass filter ( basically stop vocals and treble running to the subwoofer ) and a resistor to alter resistance levels and really it'd have to be a pretty powerful amp

    Don't know the full details but it is do able

    TBH you would probably be better off using the 2ch amp for the comps, then getting a single channel (mono) amp for the sub.

    It can be done, using a tri-mode crossover, though i havn't seen one for sale anywhere for donkeys years.
    Basically you run a full range signal to the amp & the tri-mode crossover low pass filters the output to give you sub bass for the subwoofer & also high pass filters the output to drive the mids/tweeters.
    Big downfall with it is there is no independant control of the sub level, plus they were quite expensive due to the components required to filter the signal.
    Be just as cheap to buy another amp.
