    Material from Recaro

Does anyone know if you can buy material for OEM Recaro seats? Will Recaro sell direct?

I'm having a real hard time matching the leather on my seats for new gaitors. The RS4 seats are a pretty unique colour.

If you required a repair, would Recaro want to do it in house or would they just release the material?

I know a few people have had material from Recaro for Vec GSi style rear bench to match the fronts.

    Cheers

From what I remember http://www.capitalseating.co.uk/default.asp these people are the UK distributor, I cant see leather on their site but they could probably source some for you.

Contact Recaro, and they will tell you to get in touch with Capital Seating, who are the laziest and most unhelpful company I've ever dealt with.

Re-contact Recaro, dazzle them with logic and they will magically admit they can sort you out direct.. and cheaper too

    Cheers fellas

Geoff just as a roundabout figure, how much was the material for your rear bench? I don't wnat nearly as much as that but i imagine the leather being more expensive than the cloth.

Capital wanted around £70 per meter.. luckily they were too bloody lazy to go look for it in their stock room.

Recaro (after wearing them down), did the deal for £27 per meter direct from Germany.

moral.. deal with the organ grinder, not the monkey

You're not wrong geoff, what a bunch of clowns

Neither Recaro or capital seating can get the same fabric. Capital said they 'might' be able to get a close match.

Recaro told me that the material was supplied by ford so i should contact them

PMSL - they did that with me on the Vectra seats .. I had to speak to VX even tho it's a standard Recario fabric.

They're Audi seats though, so shouldn't i speak to Audi? I'm so confused, i sent quite condesending responses back which in hindsight probably wasn't the best idea.

I've also given Luke @ Plush a call to see what he can do, and in my haste to get a smarmy response in i forgot to ask about a wiring diagram, opps!

It's standard answer #4, and designed to get you off the phone ASAP

But you have seen the flaw in the Q, so you can phone back, and progress to hear standard answer #5, and so on

Once you've progressed past all 12 standard answers you might get somwhere.

Alterantive, you can check you email, where there might be a fast track clue to the shorten the game
